Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort in Rocky Point joins the list of Mexican companies with Safe Travel stamp.
In December 2020, Sonora received the Safe Travels Stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) for complying with the implementation of protocols of the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene, and one of the advantages of having this distinctive is to extend it to all those tourist companies in the state whose biosafety protocols are aligned with these standards. Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort has demonstrated its compliance with these safety protocols and was awarded the stamp.
Luis Núñez Noriega, Sonora Minister of Tourism, emphasized that the health and safety of Sonorans and their visitors is and will continue to be a priority, as well as restoring trust among travelers.
As for Héctor Vázquez del Mercado, CEO of Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort commented: “One of the key values of our group is its resilience, having the ability as a company to emerge stronger in the face of adversity, with innovation, creativity and teamwork. For Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort to be part of the 6.5% of Hotels and Resort in the World recognized by AAA with 4 Diamonds for quality and service, is in recognition of the commitment we have with our clients and team members. We are very proud to receive the Safe Travels stamp, which the World Travel and Tourism Council grants to companies, organizations and destinations that establish the best hygiene and sanitation practices and protocols aligned with the global standards of this organization. Covid-19 undoubtedly represents a challenge for the tourism industry, but will not let ourselves be defeated and we will try our best in sanitation and hygiene of 100% of our facilities, as well as in training our team in health prevention.“
